Online Learning
Inga Guseva asked:

Thousands of colleges, universities and corporations around the world offer online courses. Education is available anywhere, anytime. While course content leans toward business and technology, other areas are growing, such as education and psychology.

E-learning is expanding worldwide. It is estimated that corporate training will grow from $2.2 billion to $18.5 billion. Due to shrinking budgets and decreased interest in travel, meetings and training sessions, which depend on airplane flights, hotel reservations and time away from home, are being replaced by e-learning.

A number of reasons can be attributed to why e-learning has become a mainstream activity engaged in by most countries, practically all educational institutions and a large number of corporations. These include:

- Increasing demand for equitable education for everyone;

- Providing education for those whose needs can not be met by the formal educational process;

- Establishing sufficient physical locations for learning are difficult, due to the increase of the world’s population;

- Desire for nations to be involved in e-learning and compete with other nations; and

- Additional sources of revenue which are anticipated.

Finding Success in E-Learning

Not all programs are economically successful, even though universities and corporations are investing large amounts of money for curriculum development and presentation strategies. Online learning requires more instructor time per student than classroom learning. A number of for-profit e-learning institutions have found they must either charge more or provide an inferior product.

Successful e-learning programs succeed because of the following reasons:

- They satisfy a real need. Philadelphia University in Pennsylvania says its online midwifery course is in demand around the world.

- Good research, financial support and extensive marketing. The Open University of Hong Kong, using the U.K.’s model, attributes its success to an open-access policy, a large range of programs, emphasis on curriculum development, program planning and quality assurance, credit transfers, a provision for student support, research activities, and international outreach and collaboration. Learners outside of Hong Kong are located in Great Britain (57 percent), Australia (31 percent), the United States (7 percent), China (4 percent), as well as Macau and Ireland.

- Almost all revenues come from student fees. Capital expenses such as buildings, labor and electronic libraries are provided by the government. Large endowments from business and commercial organizations are ongoing.

Online programs should also consider the following:

1. The need for interaction is imperative. Courses with little interaction have high drop-out rates. E-mail, chat rooms and discussion boards remove the feeling of isolation and provide opportunities for discussion.

2. Instructors who know how to interact online with students, and are willing to give the time and effort involved, are successful. Too many students in any online activity destroy the relationship required between instructor and student. Also, responding to a great deal of e-mail almost becomes an impossibility. There is a need for professional development for online instructors.

Conclusions

E-learning is not a passing fad. Students indicate online courses can be as effective and even better than campus courses.

Generally, e-learning programs are successful and are expanding. E-learning opportunities will continue to grow as well. And for some learners, it may be the only option.

These are few approaches you can use when starting your online learning program. E-learning combined with creativity, good research & extensive marketing can give good results and help to build successful learning community. As you can see all you need is imagination, some knowledge and business skills to realize your ideas. Good luck!

How to Choose a Cigar?

Cigars
Denis K. asked:

For the young Cigar Entrepreneur, choosing the right smoke can be the most difficult of matters. One has to know what one is looking for, as well as looking at. There is such a wide variety of high-profile cigars on the market today, that one just about has to have some instruction prior to that first purchase.

First, we will cover the subject of flavor. The layman would assume that all cigars are made from the same tobacco, as well as have the same flavor. The truth is, there is a massive variety of tobacco flavors available, each particular flavor having its own level of intensity. Your own personal favorite could very well be one that everyone else despises. Everyone has a different pallet for a cigar. Regardless, the actual mix of tobacco, the time elapsed since the making of the cigar, the condition it is in (storage, humidor, etc) and what you have drank or ate before or during the smoking of the cigar all have a bearing on the actual taste.

As far as only being one flavor of tobacco initially grown, this also is a fallacy. Tobaccos will attain different flavors depending upon the soil in which that particular plant is grown. In addition, different parts of the actual tobacco plant are utilized to define a particular flavor. All of these factors are blended together by cigar gurus who know what will go well with what to produce an original and excellent cigar.

With all this in mind, we can assume that picking that right cigar is going to be difficult at best. It takes more than just a random pick or a glance. It takes knowledge.

First, always refer to a smoker. If you know someone within your circle that enjoys a good high-quality cigar, ask him or her about what they like. Tell them your favorite flavors of food and fruit. This will give them a good idea as to what will lay best on your pallet. If you don’t know a connoisseur of fine cigars, ask the individual that runs your cigar shop. He/She may not smoke, but you can be certain that they know what cigar smokers come back for over and over.

Once you have chosen a cigar for consideration begin your inspection. Before we go too deeply into this, however, let’s discuss the occasional white powdery substance that you may come across on a cigar. Do not let this turn you away, as this is what is called “Bloom.” Bloom is simply the result of ageing on a cigar and is in no way a bad thing. Actually, it may very well be considered a positive aspect. This enhances the flavor. Mold, on the other hand, should be avoided. If a cigar is kept at extreme levels of humidity, it will form a blue-green tint on the packaging. Avoid it at all costs.

Ask yourself if you would prefer a mild cigar, or a more full-flavored smoke. If you would lean more towards the full-flavor option, then choose a cigar with a larger ring. The ring is the actual diameter of the cigar. The larger the diameter, the more intense, and multiple blends you will experience.

Another way to get a feel for the taste of a cigar is the smell. Take a good whiff of it. If the smell is overwhelming, then it will likely be very strong. Take notice that we use the word “likely” in that reference. This is not always the case. Some smokes smell a level or two more intense than they actually taste.

Next, how long do you want to smoke a cigar? Common sense tells us that the longer the cigar, the longer the smoke-time. However, another way to tell is to gently squeeze the cigar ¾ of the way up. If it seems very tight, it will have a more difficult draw and take longer to smoke. If it is loose, the smoke will proceed at a faster rate.

Moving on, we have the construction of the cigar. Does it appear lumpy or feel loose at spots here and there? If so, you probably do not want it. You see, the creation of a good hand-rolled cigar is actually considered a work of art in some circles. The way a cigar looks is at least 40 % of the selling value. If it does not look good, it is far more difficult to move, commercially speaking.

In choosing the right cigar for you, the one and only true manner is to just shop around. Research reviews online. There are a number of very effective and consistently updated review sites, such as Cigar Inspector. These sites will give you individual reviews by people who have tried the cigar. Then, once you pick out one to try, do not go in with the attitude that if you don’t like this one, you will never try another. Expect to invest a little time in finding your perfect cigar. Even then, when you find that perfect Robusto or Maduro, keep shopping. Variety is truly the spice of life.

Mario Churchill asked:

If you decide to do a search just on the simple phrase free online learning, your computer will probably flip out on you, there’s only like 50,000 different search results that will come up, free online learning ranges from everything like online classes and courses to free online learning games.

Every web site is different when it comes to the concept of free online learning, one thing is for sure, you have to be specific when it comes to free online learning.’

There is free online learning for real estate, teaching, typing, and those are only the first few search results that I came up with. Isn’t that unreal just how many free online learning sites there are available on the Internet today?

And some of these free online learning web sites are game sites for pre-school children, as well as other game sites that are free online learning sites but for older students as well.

You can achieve free online learning for automotive and anything else you could possibly imagine, even how to pot a plant. I was astonished at all the free online learning results I received, and it was really cool to check some of the free online learning web sites out because I actually learned a few things I didn’t know and had to go back.

Free online learning believe it or not can also include actual college courses or special techniques to doing things like for instance decorating wedding cakes, I think that free online learning site was the best one I seen. Although I don’t think I would have the patience to learn how to do something like that. Either way, it was listed among the many free online learning sites I went too. I didn’t go to all of them obviously but what I did see was impressive.

The Internet can be used for so many things, and free online learning is one of the better attributes of the Internet highway. In my opinion, yeah there are some bad things that go on through the use of the Internet but free online learning isn’t one of those bad things. It just proves that the internet is useful as a tool as well as playing games and sending emails or downloading music.

Free online learning is also in e books that I seen, different things about free online learning you could read about, which sites were rated better than others and why.

I know there are a lot of sites for free online learning now, just about anything that is learnable, oh don’t get me wrong not everything if free on some of the websites we go to, although those web sites that are listed as free online learning web sites usually are, and the games your children can play and learn at the same time while on the Internet just shows that they can do something useful rather than sitting there for hours chatting or playing something they won’t learn a thing from. Free online learning offers a variety of web sites and a wide range of information for people of all ages.

Green day - Holiday

Check out my other (Green Day) videos with lyrics aswell!

Lyrics:

Say, hey!

Hear the sound of the falling rain
Coming down like an Armageddon flame (Hey!)
The shame
The ones who died without a name

Hear the dogs howling out of key
To a hymn called “Faith and Misery” (Hey!)
And bleed, the company lost the war today

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday

Hear the drum pounding out of time
Another protester has crossed the line (Hey!)
To find, the money’s on the other side

Can I get another Amen? (Amen!)
There’s a flag wrapped around a score of men (Hey!)
A gag, a plastic bag on a monument

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday

(Hey!)
(Say, hey!)

(3,4)

“The representative from California has the floor”

Sieg Heil to the president Gasman
Bombs away is your punishment
Pulverize the Eiffel towers
Who criticize your government
Bang bang goes the broken glass and
Kill all the **** that don’t agree
Trials by fire, setting fire
Is not a way that’s meant for me
Just cause, just cause, because we’re outlaws yeah!

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives

This is our lives on holiday
